As my journey to address mold exposure continues, I want to share the latest additions to my evolving mold protocol. Recognizing the significance of creating a clean and mold-resistant environment, I have integrated Air Doctor Filters, organic mattresses and pillows, Cellcore Binders and Cellcore’s MYC (Mycotoxin) kit, along with Thieves essential oils into my strategy.
1. May Indoor Air Investigators
May Indoor Air, led by the renowned Jeffrey May, is co-author of the renowned book, "My House Is Killing Me." May Indoor Air specializes in identifying and addressing indoor contaminants and their sources. Specializing in mold inspections, mold testing, and odor testing, May Indoor Air employs a unique approach by analyzing their own dust samples through microscopy. This sets them apart, as they not only focus on mold spores but also examine various potential allergens, including insect fecal matter, pet dander, pollen, and yeast.
2. Thieves Essential Oils: Nature's Defense Against Mold
Harnessing the natural power of essential oils, Thieves has become a cornerstone in my mold protocol. This carefully crafted blend, inspired by historical accounts of a group of 15th-century thieves who used specific herbs to protect themselves from the plague, is known for its antifungal and antibacterial properties. Thieves® essential oil is a blend of purifying essential oils, Clove, Lemon, Cinnamon Bark, Eucalyptus radiata, and Rosemary.
I've been using the Thieves household cleaner – a non-toxic alternative that doesn't compromise on efficacy. By combining 4 teaspoons of Thieves household cleaner with 16 ounces of water in a glass spray bottle, I've created a cleaning solution that is gentle on the environment and my health while targeting mold. It's crucial to note that the use of Thieves is effective for surface layer mold and will not eliminate mold hidden behind walls.
3. Avocado Green Mattresses: GOTS-Certified Organic Comfort
Were you aware that more than 90 percent of conventional mattresses contain harmful chemicals, which have been associated with an increasing number of health issues? Some common chemicals found in mattresses include: polybrominated diphenyl ethers, boric acid, formaldehyde and antimony.
Polyurethane foam is widely used in conventional mattresses and other products like computer monitors, TV sets and printers. The problem is that it breaks down into different VOC’s (volatile organic compounds) that are released into the air, which one would then breathe in at night. As polyurethane begins to break down, it can release polybrominated-biphenyl-ethers (PBDEs), which are very toxic chemicals that can linger in someone’s system for a long time. Dr. Axe
I switched to Avocado Green Mattresses, which are certified under the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS), guaranteeing the highest standards of organic integrity in their manufacturing. Their pillows are crafted with premium materials such as natural latex and Kapok fiber, that provide optimal support and comfort.
Experience the benefits of organic bedding, which includes:
Enhanced posture and improved comfort during sleep.
"Motionless" transfer, ensuring minimal disruption from others moving in bed.
Shielding against toxins associated with cancer, lung issues, and heart problems.
Advocating for the use of eco-friendly crops and manufacturing practices.
Lowered risk of sleep-related issues like snoring and sleep apnea.
Natural body temperature control, reducing instances of "sleeping hot."
Diminished risk of allergic reactions attributed to phthalates, harsh perfumes, and dyes.
Lowered risk for various problems linked to poor-quality mattresses and chemical exposure, such as neck pain, lower back pain, fertility issues, developmental problems in infants or children, and Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS).
4. Cellcore's Mycotoxin Protocol
Adding another layer to my holistic approach, Cellcore's Mycotoxin Protocol is a four-month strategy designed to support cognitive and mitochondrial function, natural detoxification processes, and overall gut, liver, and respiratory health. The protocol includes the Jumpstart Kit for initial drainage support, followed by the MYC (Mycotoxin) Support Kit and Advanced MYC Support Kit to intensify detoxification efforts.
CellCore's protocol addresses mold toxicity on multiple fronts:
Increasing Oxygen Levels: CT Minerals & BioToxin Binder
Binding Mycotoxins: BioToxin Binder and Carboxy
Biodegrading Ochratoxin A: CT Biotic
Up-regulating Thyroid Function: CT Minerals, Advanced TUDCA
Increasing Bile Flow and Liver Detox: Advanced TUDCA and KL Support
Jumpstart Kit (1 Month): Supporting Drainage Pathways
The Jumpstart Kit is the foundation for the protocol with a focus on mitochondrial support and drainage. Key components include:
BC-ATP: Supporting metabolism, ATP cycles, and detoxification.
Biotoxin Binder: A starter binder aiding in detoxification and supporting the gut microbiome.
CT-Minerals: Fulvic acid-derived minerals promoting mental clarity, energy production, and cellular repair.
KL Support: A blend supporting kidney and liver health, crucial for drainage and detoxification.
MYC Support Kit (2 Months):
Building on the foundation, the Myc Support Kit intensifies detoxification with:
Advanced TUDCA: Supporting liver-bile duct systems and healthy bile flow.
BC-ATP: Contributing to detoxification, gut microbiome balance, and overall health.
Biotoxin Binder: Assisting in natural detoxification processes and supporting the gut microbiome.
CT-Minerals: Bioavailable minerals for mental clarity, energy production, and cellular repair.
KL Support: Supporting kidney and liver function for optimal detoxification.
Advanced MYC Support Kit (1 Month)
The final stage includes:
Advanced TUDCA: Continued support for liver-bile duct systems and healthy bile flow.
BC-ATP: Key for detoxification, cognitive function, and immune health.
Carboxy: An advanced binder aiding in detoxification processes.
CT-Biotic: Spore-forming and non-spore-forming bacteria supporting detoxification and immune function.
CT-Minerals: Bioavailable minerals crucial for mental clarity, energy production, and immune function.

It's important to note that while this protocol offers valuable insights and a structured approach to mold detoxification, it may not encompass all individual considerations. Working closely with clients, I emphasize the need for personalized mold detoxification processes. This approach recognizes the presence of underlying factors that vary from person to person, highlighting the complexity of mold-related challenges. By adopting a multifactorial approach, tailored solutions can be developed to address the unique needs of each individual, fostering a more comprehensive and effective journey toward improved health.
